Obiora Francis Ike has through dint of hard work, commitment and devotion to the course of making the world a better place, earned for himself several awards, honors and laurels form his native people and world wide communities. He was in year 1988, conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Onwa n'etilora of Umana Ndiagu, Enugu State Nigerian, with the honour of a high chief in Igbo land. He also earned an award for Distinguished Health and Social Services of the International Health Foundation, Enugu, Men of Achievement award from the Cambridge Publications, United Kingdom, Shalom, Peace Prize from the Eichstaett University, Germany.
Obiora Ike was in year 1997 mentioned in the Who is Who in the World, USA, conferred as Honorary Chaplain (Prelate) to Pope John Paul II, Rome, Vatican in year 2000. In year 2001, he was endowed as Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary International, Munich/Ludwigshafen, Germany. He was in year 2004 cited as Who is Who in Nigeria and in year 2005 recognized for the award of Afrika Verdienst Preis, CV Afrika Hilfe eV, Germany.
He in year 2005 became the only Nigerian currently inducted into the prestigious Club of Rome founded in 1968 and which is the universally acclaimed moral voice on sustainable development. CV Afrika Hilfe Ev. Germany also honored him as plenipotentiary member of Aachen Ripuaria, German. He was earlier in year 2006 honoured by Lufthansa, German Airlines as Senator which accords him first class services in the airline. A journalists delight, Obiora Ike was awarded the honor as Spiritual Patron, of the Radio Television and Theater Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Radio Nigeria, Enugu.
