Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Retreat: Msgr. Obiora Ike Speaks on Insecurity with Value Reorientation

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has extended a special invitation to Reverend Monsignor Professor Doctor Obiora Francis Ike, Founder President and Director of the Catholic Institute for Development Justice and Peace (CIDJAP), to deliver a paper at the Ohanaeze Retreat under the theme: Ako Bu Ije.

“Reorientation of Values: A Panacea to Insecurity in Igboland” is the topic of the paper scheduled to be delivered by Reverend Monsignor Professor Doctor Obiora Francis Ike to a large gathering of eminent personalities, and Statesmen comprising State Governors, members of Ohanaeze Elders Committees, Leaderships of Association of Town Unions, and members of the Ohanaeze National Executive Committee, NEC.

In a letter of invitation transmitted to Reverend Monsignor Ike and personally signed by Ambassador Okey Emuchay, MFR, Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the lecture as entitled, will “help to engender value orientation in the youth with a view to curbing restiveness and Insecurity in Igboland.”

The Ohanaeze Retreat will take place on Wednesday, 27th March 2024, at the Old Government Lodge, Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu.

A two-session programme of events for the scheduled Ohanaeze Ndigbo Retreat includes the rendition of the National Anthem, opening prayer, presentation of kolanut, Chairman’s Opening Speech, Welcome Address by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide President-General, Chief Engineer Emmanuel C. Iwuanyanwu, MFR, OFR, CFR, Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo.

There will also be brief remarks by the Chairman, Southwest Governors Forum, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON; the Abia State Governor, His Excellency Alex Otti; the Anambra State Governor, His Excellency Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo; the Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru; the Enugu State Governor, and Retreat Host, His Excellency, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
