In commemoration of the 9th October, 2025 International Day of Sight, the CIDJAP Ave Maria Eye Specialist Hospital organized a five-day free eye care outreach from 5th to 10th October 2025. The program, held at the hospital premises, was designed to promote eye health and prevent avoidable blindness among residents of Enugu State.

A total of 682 patients from various communities were attended to, receiving quality eye care services free of charge. The outreach featured free consultations, comprehensive eye examinations and refractions using advanced automated machines, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective visual correction.

The initiative, valued at over ₦8.5 million, reflected CIDJAP's commitment to improving community health and restoring hope to the less privileged. Through this humanitarian gesture, the people of Enugu State were given not just clearer vision, but a renewed sense of dignity and wellbeing a true evidence to CIDJAP's mission of compassion in action.
