From 18-20 October 2018 Nigeria's capital, Abuja, held Globethics.net Board of Foundation meeting heralded however with an International Conference organised by Globethics.net and its partner, Lux Terra Leadership Foundation on ethics in higher education.

Over 350 students and teachers from across various universities of the country, representatives of several universities and seven Vice Chancellors came together at the Ibeto Hotel to take part in this conference. Its focus was 'Transforming Societies and Youth through Ethics in Higher Education'. Except for the Keynote speech delivered by Professor Michael Umale Adikwu, Abuja University Vice Chancellor on how to promote ethics in higher institutions the rest of the conference were panel discussions, where all Globethics.net Board member played an important role.

The panel discussions were moderated by Globethics.net Executive Director, Obiora Ike, who managed a rich discussion within the panellist and the plenary. Ike asked precise questions to the panellists on different current ethical dilemmas such as issues of plagiarism, sexual harassment, research ethics, delays in release of grades, admission processes, corruption and bribery cases and students relationships within the university. Participants were invited to share their own experiences and make contributions.

During the closing ceremony a Globethics.net publication was give to all the different members of the universities. The students were asked to elect a representative to collect a Globethics.net Publication CD with more than 200 books on applied ethics and related subjects.
