In its continued mission to promote justice, peace and charity through compassionate service, the Catholic Institute for Development, Justice and Peace (CIDJAP)has reached out to the Enugu State Maximum Correctional Centre with a humanitarian donation of essential medicines and health supplies.

This timely intervention follows reports of an outbreak of chickenpox and scabies among inmates within the facility. Moved by concern for their wellbeing, CIDJAP responded swiftly to provide medical support aimed at controlling the spread and ensuring affected inmates receive proper treatment.

Presenting the items, representative of CIDJAP Prisons and Correctional Centre Unit emphasized the organization's enduring commitment to the welfare of the most vulnerable in society, including those behind bars. Officials of the correctional centre expressed appreciation to CIDJAP and the Founding Director Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike for the thoughtful intervention and solidarity shown during a critical period.
