6 September 2019 – Globethics.net has signed a memorandum of understanding with American University of Madaba to introduce ethics into higher education.

Dr Obiora Ike, Globethics.net Executive Director, met with Prof. Nabil Ayoub, Vice-chancellor of American University of Madaba (AUM) to sign the agreement close to the city of Madaba—one of the most visited cities in Jordan due to The Mosaic Map—where the university is based. It is an Arabic university with western standards, offering degrees exclusively in English.

During the visit, Prof. Dr Obiora Ike also had the chance to visit the newly established Globethics.net office at AUM and meet with Prof. Naif Haddad and his team. Prof. Naif was appointed as the AUM principal contact for Globethics.net office at the university.

Other developments following the visit include a workshop planned for the University faculty as part of the Globethics.net Training the Teachers service.

As a Globethics.net Consortium Member, the AUM plans to collaborate with other Member Institutions, mainly from Africa, in terms of teachers and student exchange and research.
