Globethics.net Director, Obiora Ike, and senior associate Willy Kabohl lead a workshop on ethical management of assets in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The event was sponsored by Renovabis and was the first time that different Christian groups came together under one umbrella in Romania, represented by approximately 40 leaders from 16 different Romanian dioceses.

The aim of the workshop that took place on 8-10 October 2018 was to strengthen church based organisations in ethical investments management thorugh ethical training. The seminar allowed the participants to learn how to improve the administration structure and process of their church resources.

Obiora Ike delivered three presentations: 'Development of Curriculum for ethics education for youth in institutions of learning and seminars', 'Potentials of Ethics towards transformation of people and institutions' and 'The Challenges of Ethics Church Leaders in Investments and Management of Assets'. In his last speech, he focused on the importance of mapping the church assets, how to reclaim lost resources and how to become economically independent. There were also interventions of local speakers, who shared the current situation of Romania and flagged the local problems that church based organisations are facing.

After the event a communiqué was signed by all the attending participants. A national training will follow this workshop in May 2019. Additionally, a publication on the conference will be published by Globethics.net.
