History was made on 30th April 2024, when the Founder of CIDJAP, Very Rev. Msgr. Obiora Ike gave a wheelchair and power bank to Godwin Udeagbala, a physically challenged person. Godwin has been helped for more than ten years to gain basic education at Institute of Management and Technology Enugu where he bagged his Higher National Diploma certificate. Godwin recounted that CIDJAP helped him to prove a point that being physically challenged is not an excuse to become a beggar and a liability.

It is worthy to note that two of his children have been supported till they graduated from the university. Presently, CIDJAP is sponsoring three other younger ones to gain basic education in life. CIDJAP has equally helped him to start a small scale business in his home town Mmaku in Awgu Local Government of Enugu State. The small business has been his only source of income and it is hoped that CIDJAP will continue to support him on that for his to be entirely self-reliant.

The wheelchair was handed over to him by the Deputy and Assistant Directors of CIDJAP. This gift was to enable him move around freely. After receiving the gift, he leaped for joy with and thanked CIDJAP for being in forefront of the needy and downtrodden in Nigeria. He prayed God to bless the Founder, Very Rev. Msgr. Obiora Ike and all the workers at CIDJAP.

Dr. Ebele Odinachi.
